The TFN Impact America Fund Announces Weekend Entertainment Fund Raising Event for Victims of the Minnesota Bridge Collapse and Minnesota Floods
Minneapolis, MN –The TFN Impact America Fund (a Congressional District Program) has become the philanthropic partner for Media Max Events and Expos. On September 29 and 30, 2007, Media Max Events and Expos produce the Home Improvement and Design expo at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota. The TFN Impact America Fund (www.thefoundationnetwork.com) is providing up to 16 hours of entertainment at the event. This is the first of several events to raise funds for the families who are pulling their lives back together.
“We lost everything in the flood and the insurance company is hedging on whether they will cover our loss,“ said Mark and Meg Krinke who are from Stockton, Minnesota and lost their home in the recent floods in southern Minnesota. “It’s great to see a local organization like the TFN Impact America Fund that looks like it has such legs and talent to make a difference. We’d be grateful for any assistance as we rebuild our lives!”
The mission of the TFN Impact America Fund is to support victims of natural disasters and to support our family of philanthropies who are making a difference in the communities where they live and work.
“We are committed to providing the support to families in Minnesota who are experiencing such challenging times,” said Michael Nelson, President of The Foundation Network and founder of The TFN Impact America Fund. “All of the entertainers are donating their time to show their support of Minnesota families. Our family of foundations, like the Brain Candy Project and The Rhythm and Praise Charitable Project are providing some world class entertainment including jazz vocalist Henry Allen (founder of The Brain Candy Project (www.braincandyproject.org), neo-beatnik-folk-funk sensation, Wolves and Ravens (www.wolvesandravens.com), saxophonist and Christian recording gospel artist Mel Holder (www.melholder.com) , Reggae Hip-Hip sensation Ryan Daniel (www.ryandanielandthespiritofdavid.com/ , Christian artist, Tru-Serva (profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=32153395 ), Jeff Warner from Ultimate Strength who holds five world records and breaks bricks for Christ.” (see entertainment roster at MediaMax Events & EXPO'S Entertainment).
MediaMax Events and Expos was looking for a non-profit organization in Minneapolis to become their philanthropic partner at all of their expo events throughout the year.
“Our partnership with The Foundation Network and The TFN Impact America Fund is very exciting. I went looking for a single 501(c)3 organization to support and we now have the whole TFN family of philanthropies to work with,” said Brad Gudim, president of MediaMax Events and Expos. “With the generous support of the thousands of people who attend our events, this relationship allows our expos to raise significant funds and awareness for people right here in Minnesota. We can support multiple causes through The TFN Impact America Fund and have confidence that the funds will go directly to the families in need.”
The Canterbury Park fundraising weekend starts on September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
